About Tracy

It wasn't About Tracy until I had to sit down for 7 years of my life after being incarcerated for aggravated robbery and armed assault with a deadly weapon. This was in Lakewood, Colorado in February 2000. Confined to a prison cell is where I had to come face-to-face with Tracy. And believe you me it wasn't easy. That's because its often hard to really have to deal with yourself. I mean if that's not something you're accustomed to doing, oh it can surely be a challenge. Now I'm getting the "why'd you do that Tracy?' The "look what you've done now Tracy". And the "you can't run anymore Tracy". It had become time and well overdue time to face myself. There was no Hennessy to reach for, no blunt to roll and no cigarettes to smoke to try to numb the reality and pain. Now you have the absolute pleasure of coming face-to-face with Tracy. I had no time to properly prepare myself to deal with myself. And you know its real because there's no debate, no argument and definitely no questions to try to rebut the interrogator. You get to deal with the good, the bad and the indifferent. Yep, that would be you Tracy Maurice Allen. So are you ready? Are you up to the life long task of looking at and studying your past in order to really make your life a blast? And when I seriously and sincerely answered that question for myself with potential, promise and purpose the About Tracy part showed up. My life has been and will continue to be not 'a' journey but 'my' journey. So from here on out I'm thinking, speaking and acting with intention. So its been from my time of incarceration when I realized that I'm here to educate, enlighten and empower. I have the gift of speech. I have an interesting and unique way of motivating and inspiring people and I don't take that for granted. My perspective is that we've all had situations and circumstances in our lives where we wish we could go back and think, say and do things differently. It's a fact. So my deal is this: let's at least have the conversation, let's at least be willing to admit that a better, healthier and more prosperous way does exist. And thereby collectively we can all profit from it. Now you know a little something About Tracy.
